Removal And Installation

The Z-case fuse array is connected to the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and is a serviced component. The following procedure details how to remove this component from the PDC.

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECTION .

  2. Remove the PDC cover by pressing inward on both latches (1) located on the sides of the PDC.

  3. Disconnect and isolate the positive battery cable (5).

  4. Remove the remainder of the wire harness connection terminals (1) on the PDC.
  5. If the Z-case fuse array will not lift out of the PDC then it is necessary to remove the PDC. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  6. Using a small flat blade flathead screwdriver, unlatch the Z-case fuse array from the PDC housing through the small slots (1) on the bottom of the PDC housing and remove the Z-case fuse array.

INSTALLATION 

  1. If the PDC was removed, snap to fit the Z-case fuse array to the PDC housing.
  2. If the PDC was removed, install the PDC. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Install and securely tighten the wire harness terminals to the PDC.
  4. Install the PDC cover.
  5. Connect the positive (+) battery cable.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECTION .
