Standard Procedure - Shipping Mode

When a new vehicle is delivered, the Body Control Module (BCM) is set to shipping mode. The BCM has a mode that takes the place of pulling the IOD fuse called "Shipping Mode". Shipping mode deactivates several vehicle accessories to prevent normal ignition OFF draw from depleting the battery over time. Removing the vehicle from shipping mode activates all vehicle systems.

You can enable/disable the vehicle from "Shipping Mode" by using the scan tool, go to BCM >> Misc. function >> Exit Shipping Mode.
