Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) (1). Refer to MODULE, INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICSM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Remove the four Electronic Shift Module (ESM) bolts (2) from the ICS (1).

  5. Release the four tabs (1, 2, 3, 4) retaining the ESM to the ICS.
  6. Remove the ESM from the ICS.
