Removal And Installation: Installation

HORIZONTAL

Position the PLGM (1) to the rear quarter panel for installation.
Insert the alignment mounting tab into the locating slot on the inner quarter panel.
Seat the PLGM against the panel, verifying that the rear alignment mounting tabs (2) are engaged to the panel.

Connect the wire harness connectors (2) to the PLGM (1).
Install the right rear quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
Perform the liftgate calibration procedure. Refer to POWER LIFTGATE CALIBRATION .

VERTICAL

Install the PLGM (2) and verify that the alignment mounting tabs are engaged to the panel.
Connect the wire harness connectors (1) to the PLGM (2).

Position the rear HVAC housing (3) into the vehicle.
Install and tighten the two HVAC housing to inner quarter panel bolts (2).
Install the rear ceiling distribution duct. Refer to DUCT, CEILING DISTRIBUTION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the rear floor distribution duct. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the right rear quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Install and securely tighten the A/C line to body nut (1).
Install the right rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
Perform the liftgate calibration procedure. Refer to POWER LIFTGATE CALIBRATION .
