Position and seat the PCM to the PCM bracket (1).

Install and tighten the three retaining nuts (1) securing the PCM to the PCM bracket.

Connect and lock the electrical connectors (1) to the PCM.
Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
NOTE:
If a new PCM is installed, it must be programed with the original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and mileage and flashed with the correct software for the application. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING . If this is not done, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may set.
If a new PCM is being installed, use a scan tool and program the new PCM with the original VIN and vehicle mileage and flash with the correct software for the application.
