Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the VRM (1) into the vehicle.
  2. Install the three VRM to body nuts (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the VRM wire harness connectors (2).

  4. Install the VRM cover (2) with the two mounting nuts (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. Reset the passenger front seat.
  7. If the VRM has been replaced, the remotes will have to be programmed. To program the remotes:
    • Reset the remote control by pressing play/pause, down, and the screen button simultaneously for about 5 seconds until the backlight flashes.
