Right Hand Drive: Notes
REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to the appropriate service information .
- Remove the power distribution center. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
1 - Pressure Line Bolt 2 - Wire Harness Connector 3 - Return Line 4 - Supply Line - Disconnect the two Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump wire harness connectors and remove the wiring harness routing clips from the EHPS pump.
- With the hose clamp released disconnect the supply line from the EHPS pump and secure the hose end higher than the power steering pump reservoir.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the left front wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Bracket Frame Bolts 2 - Pressure Line Bolt - Remove the EHPS pump pressure line bolt and remove the EHPS pressure line from the EHPS pump.
- Loosen the two power steering pump bracket frame bolts.
1 - Pressure Line Bolt 2 - Wire Harness Connector 3 - Return Line 4 - Supply Line - With the hose clamp released disconnect the return line from the EHPS pump.
1 - Bracket Nuts 2 - EHPS Pump - Remove the EHPS pump from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to POWER STEERING SYSTEM BLEEDING .
