  1. Position the PAM (1b) into the left cargo area behind the left rear wheel house.
  2. Connect the wire harness connectors (2a and 2b) to the PAM.
  3. Position the PAM to its mounting location.
  4. Install the two plastic push-pin retainers (1a) that secure the PAM.
  5. Install the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
    NOTE:

    If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
