EMEA TBM Programming
THIS PROCEDURE IS REQUIRED WHEN REPLACING THE TELEMATICS BOX MODULE (TBM):
- Connect the diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle.
- Navigate to the "Miscellaneous Functions " menu and select the TBM.
- Launch the "Control Unit Replacement " procedure and follow the prompted instructions.
- Confirm that the vehicle is located in an area where both GPS and a mobile network are available.
- Turn the ignition ON for at least 10 minutes to allow the TBM to run activities to connect to the server. A popup will be displayed simultaneously on the radio screen stating that connected services requires service.
- Perform a key-OFF key-ON ignition cycle. The popup will be displayed on the radio screen once again.
- Wait for 2 minutes and then perform another key-OFF key-ON ignition cycle. If the popup continues to appear on the radio screen, the TBM is not yet ready for use. Wait another 2 minutes and perform another key-OFF key-ON ignition cycle. If the popup on the radio screen is no longer present, the TBM is ready for use and the procedure has been completed. If the popup still returns, then proceed to Step 8 .
- If after 3 attempts of waiting 2 minutes, key-OFF key-ON ignition cycle once again. If the popup is still displaying on the radio screen, then contact the Help Desk (EContact / STAR Center) for additional assistance.
