NAFTA TBM Programming

THIS PROCEDURE IS REQUIRED WHEN REPLACING THE TELEMATICS BOX MODULE (TBM): 

  1. Connect the diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle.
  2. Navigate to the "Miscellaneous Functions  " menu and select the TBM.
  3. Launch the "ECU Replacement  " procedure and follow the on-screen prompted instructions.
NOTE:

After removing or replacing the battery and connecting the TBM to the vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN), connect the diagnosis scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC), navigate to the MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS menu and then select the TBM. Select and launch the BACKUP BATTERY REPLACEMENT procedure and follow the on-screen instructions displayed by the diagnosis scan tool.
