Forward Facing Camera-HALF (FFC-HALF) - The FFC-HALF is a component located behind the rear view mirror in contact with the windshield. The FFC-HALF is a visual spectrum camera that helps determine the type of object detected by the ACC radar, located in front of the vehicle. FFC-HALF is the primary module for the Lane Departure Warning system. FFC-HALF transmits data to the ACC sensor over a dedicated CAN-C operating at 500 kbps.
The FFC-HALF also provides the input for the SMART BEAM headlight system.
