Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

LHD shown in illustration, RHD similar.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the accessory drive serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Remove the nut to disconnect the wiring (1) to the generator.

  4. Remove the upper and lower generator mounting bolts (1).
  5. Remove the generator from the engine compartment.
