Installing and Testing the Telematic Box
It is absolutely necessary to carry out the Telematic Box test, not only in order to verify that it is operating correctly, but also because only by testing it will the T-box be registered in the system and correctly associated with the vehicle on which it is installed.
To get the test application for the Mopar® Connect Telematic Box, connect to the Link.e.entry portal, select the "Useful Links" tab, select "MOPAR Connect" and choose the "Test - Operation check" option.
The application has been updated by introducing some important changes to optimize the test procedure execution and duration.
For the maximum efficiency following these changes, the installation must be organized as follows:
- Start the test procedure by entering the car VIN and the T-Box serial number to register the T-Box.
- Install and fasten the T-Box.
- Complete the test procedure.
The changes introduced include:
- Introduction of a test start phase, to be performed before installing the Telematic Box on the vehicle, and a second post-installation phase, during which the previously started test is continued to completion (this change is also mentioned in the new version of the installation procedure for the full Installation Kit - T-Box, 5580B11).
- Addition of a button to return to the main screen and leave the testing on hold.
- Addition of a wait bar in the engine start disable step to clearly highlight the need to wait 120 seconds from the last key-off before the command can be given.
- Optimization of the diagnostics check step.
- Introduction of a new "Remote command test" step that groups the boot opening and flashing light checks.
Troubleshooting
If necessary, the workshop can open a TeSeO Ticket to request assistance.
