- Position the DTCM with cover into place, then install and securely tighten the fasteners.
- Connect the ground cable and securely tighten the fastener.
- Connect the wire harness connector to the DTCM.
- Install the protective cover.
- Position and secure the side floor cover into the installed position. Make certain all of the fasteners are fully engaged.
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.NOTE:
If installing a new DTCM, it is necessary to record the last two characters of the code in the area indicated (a) of the Rear Drive Unit (RDU) for performing the self learning procedure.
NOTE:If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- Using the diagnostic scan tool, perform the "replacement unit" routine in the "misc. functions" menu of the DTCM.
