Emergency Assistance Module: Removal

NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) from the instrument panel. Refer to MODULE, INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICSM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector (3) and the three antenna wire harness connectors (2) from the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) (4).
- Remove the four screws (1) from the EAM mounting bracket that secure the EAM (4) to the bracket.
- Remove the EAM (4) from the vehicle.
