Global Telematics Box Module: Removal

NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) from the instrument panel. Refer to MODULE, INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICSM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (2, 3) from the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2) (4).
- Remove the four screws (1) from the TBM2 mounting bracket that secure the TBM2 (4) to the bracket.
- Remove the TBM2 (4) from the vehicle.
