Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

Position the driver front seat to the fully up position.
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

Working from the front of the seat, disconnect the Memory Seat Module (MSM) wiring harness connectors.
Push up on the back of the MSM to remove the rear tabs (2) from the bracket. Pull the MSM rearward to disengage the front retaining clips (1).
Remove the MSM from the vehicle.
