Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 

1. Verify the Left and Right Multifunction Switch and Clockspring harness connectors are properly seated and verify proper pin terminal tension. Refer to WIPER SYSTEM & WASHER SYSTEM, DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
   NOTE:

   A loose connection at any of these connectors may cause this DTC to set.

2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Activate the Rear Wiper Switch.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

   Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

   Yes 

   • Replace the Rear Wiper Switch in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SWITCH, MULTIFUNCTION, RIGHT, REMOVAL and SWITCH, MULTIFUNCTION, RIGHT, INSTALLATION .
   • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
   • Perform the appropriate TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT diagnostic procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
