Left Hand Drive: Notes

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to: BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Supply Line
    2 - Wire Harness Connector
  3. Disconnect the two Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump wire harness connectors and remove the wiring harness routing clips from the EHPS pump.
  4. With the hose clamp released disconnect the supply line from the EHPS pump and secure the hose end higher than the power steering pump reservoir.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Remove the right front wheel house splash shield. Refer to: SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Remove the EHPS pump pressure line bolt and remove the EHPS pressure line from the EHPS pump.

    2 - Bracket Frame Bolts
    3 - Pressure Line Bolt
    4 - Pressure Line
  8. Loosen the two power steering pump bracket frame bolts.
  9. With the hose clamp released disconnect the return line from the EHPS pump.

  10. Remove the EHPS pump from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
