Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair


Removal

* NOTICE: Do not drop or subject the sensor to sharp, sudden shocks. Do not allow any foreign objects to enter the sensor.

1. Disconnect the MAF sensor connector.





2. Loosen the retaining clamp screw and disconnect the air hose duct from the MAF sensor.
3 .Remove two bolts retaining the MAF sensor to the air cleaner housing assembly.

Installation

1. Position the MAF sensor in place.
2. Insert two mounting bolts to retain the sensor to the air cleaner housing.

Torque: 78 - 94 in-lb (8 - 9.4 N.m)

3. Connect the air hose duct to the MAF sensor and tighten the retaining clamp screw.

Torque: 24 - 36 in-lb (2.9 - 4.0 N.m)

4. Connect the MAF sensor connector.
