EGR System Function Test

INSPECTION
1. Disconnect vacuum hose from exhaust gas recirculation valve.
2. Connect a suitable hand held vacuum pump to the exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum hose fitting.
3. Start engine and operate at idle speed.
4. Apply vacuum to the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Ensure engine idles roughly and stalls at approximately 2.59 inches Hg. of vacuum.
