Engine Lubrication System: Notes

Oil pressure is provided by a rotor-type pump driven by crankshaft. Pump draws oil from oil pan through oil strainer. From oil pump, oil is sent through oil filter to cylinder block and up to cylinder head. Oil then drains back to oil pan. See Figure.
