Engine Lubrication System: Notes

Oil pressure is provided by a rotor-type pump driven by crankshaft. Pump draws oil from oil pan through oil strainer. From oil pump, oil is sent through oil filter into cylinder block and up into cylinder head. Oil then drains back into oil pan. See Figure.
