Quick Connect Fuel Line Tool

A new special tool is being provided to aid in the removal of the quick connect fuel lines used on Kia vehicles. Use of the new tool will make it easier to remove the fuel line, decreasing the risk of cracking the fuel inlet fitting on the fuel rail.

FUEL LINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Release fuel line pressure by removing fuel pump fuse, attempt to start vehicle, crank engine for an additional 10 seconds.

Push fuel line towards fitting.
Install Fuel Line Tool onto fuel line release tabs (as shown).

Pull on tool gently and pull fuel line off the fitting.

Remove tool from fuel line.
To reconnect fuel line, push line onto fitting until a click is felt. Pull gently to test.
Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
