Anti-Lock Braking System Control Module: Removal
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
- Remove the three main fuse box bracket bolts on the vehicle and the main fuse box bracket. Remove the hydraulic control unit.
- Disconnect the unit connector from the unit.

- Disconnect the six brake lines (2 inlet and 4 outlet) using a flare nut wrench. Be prepared to catch escaping brake fluid. Temporarily seal open brake lines with plastic caps or equivalent.
- Using a star wrench, remove hydraulic control unit bracket bolts on the vehicle, and remove unit bracket.
- Temporarily seal open brake line ports with plastic plugs or equivalent.
- Store the hydraulic control unit in a protective container while it is being serviced.
