A/C Relays

When the air conditioner switch is turned on, a signal is sent to the ECM. The ECM then adjusts the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve to maintain optimum idle speed. Appropriate voltage control signals are sent to various relays, allowing the A/C compressor clutch to engage. See appropriate A/C - HEATER SYSTEMS article.
