Front Axle Hub/Knuckle: Disassembly

Remove oil seal from front wheel hub.
Remove front wheel hub assembly with SST (0K930 331 AA0).

Remove retaining ring.
NOTE: If the bearing inner race remains on wheel hub, grind a section of inner race until approximately 0.5 mm (0.020 in) remains. Remove race with a chisel.

Remove wheel bearing with SST (0K 930 331 AA0).

NOTE:
1. Do not remove dust shield unless necessary.
2. Do not reuse dust shield if removed.
Mark relative positions of dust shield and knuckle for proper reassembly.

Remove dust shield with a chisel.

NOTE:
1. Do not remove wheel studs unless necessary.
2. Do not reuse wheel studs if removed.
Remove wheel studs with a press.
