Valve Guide: Notes

Check the valve stem-to-guide clearance. If the clearance exceeds the service limit, replace the valve guide with a new oversize guide.

Clearance between valve stem and guide:

Standard value:

Intake: 0.02-0.05 mm (0.0009 - 0.0020 in).

Exhaust: 0.05-0.085 mm (0.0020 - 0.0033 in).

Service limit:

Intake: 0.1 mm (0.0039 in).

Exhaust: 0.15 mm (0.0059 in).
