Monitor Scantool Data

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Connect Scantool and Engine "ON"
  3. Monitor Intake Air Temperature Sensor parameter on Current Data.
    IATS SPECIFICATIONS

    Temperature (°C) -40 (-40°F) -20 (-4°F) -10 (14°F) 0 (32°F) 10 (50°F) 20 (68°F) 40 (104°F) 60 (140°F) 100 (212°F) 120 (248°F)
    Resistance (Ω) Approx. 39,260 13,850 8,609 5,499 3,604 2,420 1,166 609 202 127

  4. Is the IATS parameter displayed within specifications?

    YES

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or PCM's connector or was repaired and PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
