Anti-Lock Braking System Control Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the brake tubes from the HECU.

    Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m, lb-ft): 

    5.9-9.8 (0.6-1.0, 4.3-7.2)

  3. Disconnect the HECU connector.
  4. Remove the HECU by loosening the bracket mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m, lb-ft): 

    16.7-25.5 (1.7-2.6, 12.3-18.8)

    CAUTION:
    • Never attempt to disassemble the HECU.
    • The HECU must be protected during storage and transport, and must not be subjected to excessive shock.
