Monitor Scantool Data
- Ignition "OFF", connect scantool.
- Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) " mode.
- Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
- Is DTC present problem?
YES
- Internal fault of SRSCM. Substitute with a SRSCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.NOTE: If you strike or spin the SRSCM at the IG "ON" state, the seat-belt pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be deployed and bring on danger. Handle it with care.
- Internal fault of SRSCM. Substitute with a SRSCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
