Component Inspection

  1. With Ignition ON & Engine OFF, clear the DTC using the scan tool.
  2. Ignition OFF.
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minute.
  4. Disconnect Passenger SIS connector.
  5. Substitute the Passenger SIS and check for proper operation.
  6. Is DTC present?

    YES 

    • Substitute a known-good SRSCM, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    • Substitute the SRSCM main harness and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good Passenger SIS, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger SIS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
