DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Level 2 monitoring (=Process monitoring)
  • Contact resistance in connectors
  • Unstable Power
  • Faulty PCM
Case 2
  • Check RAM Area/Communication connections
Case 3
  • Level 3 monitoring (=Process monitoring)
Enable Conditions case 1 & 2 & 3
  • Ignition ON
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Actual value is higher/lower than allowable range
  • Engine speed > 1760 RPM with ETC Limp Home active
  • Difference between actual torque and torque set point > 22-400 Nm depending on TQ setpoint and Engine speed
Case 2
  • RAM test/Checksum/SPI communication failure
Case 3
  • RAM/ROM error on micro-controller Checksum check
  • Communication between Main controller and Monitoring unit
  • Process Monitoring test calculation failed

  • 0.52 sec.
Case 2
  • 0.1 sec.

  • Immediate
