Monitor Scantool Data

- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC)
- IG key "ON", Engine "ON".
- Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
- Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
- Are any DTCs present?
- Is the same DTC detected again?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good "4WD-ECU" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "4WD-ECM" and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Check Mechanical problem of Transfer Case
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or "4WD-ECU" s connector or was repaired and "4WD-ECU" memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
