Repair Procedures (F21): Installation

  1. Temporarily install the 4WD coupling assembly to the rear differential carrier and then tighten the four mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    60-65 N.m (6.0-6.5 kgf.m, 43.4-47.0 lb-ft)

    NOTE: Grease the drive gear of the differential carrier assembly.
    High pressure grease:
    KLUBER MICROLUBE GNY 202 (or equivalent) or GREASE-TRANSMISSION (MS511-55, TMG-2)
    After greasing the connecting surface, temporarily install the 4WD coupling assembly to the differential carrier assembly within 3 minutes.
    Sealant:
    FIPG (Formed in Place Gaskets)-B (MS721-40) or equivalent to LT570

  2. Install the 4WD coupling assembly to the rear propeller shaft (B) by tightening the three bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    50-70 N.m (5.0-7.0 kgf.m, 36.2-50.6 lb-ft)

  3. Connect the electric magnetic clutch connector (A).
