Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove both sides of the front pillar trim.

- Remove both sides of the cowl side trim.
(Refer to "COWL SIDE TRIM ")
- Remove the instrument cluster.

- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")
- Remove the glove box housing.
(Refer to "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")
- Remove the audio unit or AVN head unit.
(Refer to "AUDIO UNIT ") or (Refer to "AVN HEAD UNIT ")
- Remove the crash pad center lower panel.

- Remove the steering column shroud lower panel.

- Remove the steering wheel.

- Remove the multifunction switch assembly.

- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad lower switch panel (A).
- Disconnect the crash pad lower switch connector (A).
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad center air vent panel (A).

- Disconnect the hazard switch connector (A).
- Remove the center speaker.
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center speaker panel (A) by using a screw driver.
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center speaker (A).
- Disconnect the center speaker connector (A).
- Remove the twitter speaker.
- Insert the flat-tip screwdriver (C) to the hole (B) and remove the tweeter speaker grill (A) by raising it with the screwdriver.
- Remove the tweeter speaker grill (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the tweeter speaker (A).
- Disconnect the tweeter speaker connector (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad side air vent panel (A) by using a screw driver.
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo sensor (A).
- Disconnect the photo sensor connector (B).
- Loosen the mounting bolts (A).
- Disconnect the passenger's airbag connectors (B).
- Remove the center fascia panel side's mounting clip (A).
- After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the main crash pad assembly (B).

Information
- When installing main crash pad, be sure to pull out the tweeter speaker connector wiring (A) through the hole on the side air vent panel.
- Right before removing the main crash pad, slightly lift the main crash pad and remove the tweeter speaker connector mounting clips (A) located at the end of both side.

- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customers radio station presets.
