GDS Data Analysis

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. In case of historic DTC: Erase DTC and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
  4. In case of active DTC: Perform following procedure.
  5. Push the ESC (ESP) switch.
  6. Monitor the "ESP ON/OFF Switch" parameter on the "Current Data  " with GDS.

    Specification:  Parameter changes (refer to Fig 1 and Fig.2)

  7. Does the ESP ON/OFF switch parameter changes as switch is pushed?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent caused by poor connection in ESC (ESP) switch line or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
