Repair Procedures: Removal

Information 

Battery 

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Remove the air duct (A).

  3. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal (A).

    Battery Negative (-) Terminal Tightening Nut: 

    4.0 ~ 6.0 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 3.0 ~ 4.4 lb-ft)

  4. Disconnect the battery positive (+) terminal (A).

    Battery Negative (-) Terminal Tightening Nut: 

    7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the insulation pad.
  6. Remove the battery mounting bracket (B) after loosening the mounting bolt (A).

  7. Remove the battery.

Battery Tray 

  1. Remove the battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  2. Remove the air cleaner mounting bolts (A).

    Air Cleaner Mounting Bolt: 

    7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  3. Remove the battery tray (A) after loosening the mounting bolts

    Battery Tray Mounting Bolt: 

    8.8 ~13.7 N.m (0.9 ~1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 ~10.1 lb-ft)
