Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Tighten the power trunk module & drive unit mounting bolts and nuts.

    Tightening Torque: 

    6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

  2. Install the push rod on the hinge ball joint.
  3. Connect the control unit connector.
  4. Install the LHS trunk trim.
  5. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal and check that the power trunk module & drive unit operate properly.

    Information 

    • Make sure that the connectors are plugged in properly.
    • Check that the power trunk operates normally.
    NOTE:
    • Be careful as drive unit mounting bolt lost in the chassis may lead to customer complaint due to rattling noise.
    • Do not operate the power trunk module without load by connecting power while the push rod is removed.
    • When replacing the power trunk module & drive unit, always perform parameter saving procedure to save the maximum open and cut off locations.
    • If the battery was removed for work, always initialize the power trunk module.
    • When replacing parts related to power trunk module, always check for normal operation.

      In case of system malfunction during test operation, check diagnostic code and connection of wiring harnesses and cables.
