With a closing switch input, the PTM unit transmits the trunk locking signal to SMK.

On receiving the signal, SMK performs FOB authentication at the bumper antenna. If registered FOB key is detected, it will search the interior area.

If all doors are closed and there is no FOB key inside the vehicle, SMK transmits the door locking command to DDM and trunk closing command to PTM.

DDM and PTM carry out the command to lock the doors and close the power trunk.

It is mounted in the passenger side glove compartment. It is used to limit power trunk open/close operation.

In other words, it cuts-off the trunk lid relay and prevents the P-Latch power from being supplied, and deactivates power trunk operation.
