Repair Procedures: Removal

CAUTION:
- Put on gloves before removing/installing the drive unit.
- Do not carry or install push rod, controller and wire harnesses by holding them with bare hands.
- When removing the push rod, be careful as the trunk may close.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the LHS trunk trim after opening the trunk.
(Proceed to Body - "TRUNK TRIM ")
- Separate the power trunk module push rod pin (A) and then remove the power trunk module connecting rod (B).
- Remove the power trunk module & drive unit (A) after removing the drive unit mounting bolts, nuts and connector.
