Control Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Refer to "O2 SENSOR CONNECTOR REMOVAL " and disconnect Upstream O2 Sensor connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 5 (Control) terminal of Upstream O2 Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 2.5V

  5. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Repair open or short in control circuit between Upstream O2 Sensor and PCM and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
