Terminal And Connector Inspection
- Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
- Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Has a problem been found?
YES
- Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
NO
- Using a GDS, check PCM software version and upgrade as necessary. If version is the newest one, check PCM for contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- If the diagnostics have been performed correctly with no failure found, replace the PCM and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
