Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning work.
    NOTE: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds
  2. Remove the seat back cover

    (Refer to Body - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

    NOTE: Improper mounting of the front seat back cover, so interfering with the normal deployment of side airbags and front seat back-rest ensure that the cover is well seated.
  3. Loosen the side airbag module nuts and then remove the airbag module (A).

    Tightening torque : 

    6.0 - 8.0 N.m (0.6 - 0.8 kgf.m, 4.4 - 5.9 lb-ft)

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
