  1. For all head unit types, confirm proper LCD display operation. If equipped with a touch screen, function test and confirm proper operation. Next, cycle the brightness setting from high to low  and confirm proper operation. Once finished, set the brightness at the middle setting.
  2. For navigation platforms, the proper SD card part number is matched with the head unit software version, as shown in the SD card version information matrix (http://www.kia-gpsmap.us/sdmatrix)  . If the wrong SD card is installed in a head unit, the following issues may occur:
    • System may reboot continuously (black screen, reboot, Kia logo or UVO screen)
    • Inoperative GPS
    • Inoperative Traffic Feature
    • Incorrect colors displayed on navigation screen
    • Map mismatching and other incorrect display issues
    • Error message displayed on navigation screen
  3. For any issue or concern related to the navigation system, always confirm the proper SD card is installed.
  4. Report any display concerns, incorrect SD cards, or missing software  versions in the SD card matrix by opening a Tech Line Case.
