Component Inspection

■ Perform HO2S Downstream (S2) Heater Actuation Test 

1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Engine "Running".
3. Perform "Actuation Test"  for HO2S downstream (S2) Heater.

■ HO2S Downstream (S2) Heater Inspection 

1. Ignition Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect HO2S downstream (S2) connector.
3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Power) terminal and Pin No. 4 (Control) terminal of the HO2S downstream (S2) heater. (Component Side)

   Specification:  Approx. 9.0Ω [20°C (68°F)]

■ Confirm Part Inspection 

1. Does the HO2S downstream (S2) Heater operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If problem still occurs, replace HO2S downstream (S2) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
