Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the front seat assembly (both sides).
(Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the cluster fascia panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL ")
- Remove the instrument cluster.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ")
- Remove the glove box housing.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")
- Remove the center fascia lower panel and center fascia upper panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CENTER FASCIA PANEL ")
- Remove the crash pad main lower panel.

- Remove the audio unit or AVN head unit.

(Refer to Body Electrical System - "AVN HEAD UNIT ")
- Remove the steering wheel.
(Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")
- Remove the steering column shroud lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")
- Remove the crash pad main lower panel (A) after disconnecting the connector (A) and screws.
- Remove the center fascia lower reinforce panel (A) after loosening the nuts & screws.
- Separate the crash pad side switch (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the crash pad side switch (B) after disconnecting the connector (A).
- Remove the air vent duct (A) after loosening the screw.
- Remove the audio support bracket (A) after loosening the screw.
- Separate the pillar trim and then remove the front pillar trim (A) by pushing the mounting clip in the direction of the arrow.
- Loosen the mounting bolts (A).
- Separate the main crash pad assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.

- Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (A).
- Disconnect the midrange speaker connector (A).

- Remove the crash pad heater & air vent duct connector (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the passenger airbag (A) after loosening the screws.
- Using a remover, remove the midrange speaker grill (A).
- Remove the sides midrange speaker (A) after loosening the screws.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
