Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Information 

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front seat assembly (both sides).

    (Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Remove the cluster fascia panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL ")

  5. Remove the instrument cluster.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ")

  6. Remove the glove box housing.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")

  7. Remove the center fascia lower panel and center fascia upper panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CENTER FASCIA PANEL ")

  8. Remove the crash pad main lower panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD CENTER PANEL ")

  9. Remove the audio unit or AVN head unit.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "AUDIO UNIT ")

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "AVN HEAD UNIT ")

  10. Remove the steering wheel.

    (Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")

  11. Remove the steering column shroud lower panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")

  12. Remove the crash pad main lower panel (A) after disconnecting the connector (A) and screws.

  13. Remove the center fascia lower reinforce panel (A) after loosening the nuts & screws.

  14. Separate the crash pad side switch (A) after loosening the screws.

  15. Remove the crash pad side switch (B) after disconnecting the connector (A).

  16. Remove the air vent duct (A) after loosening the screw.

  17. Remove the audio support bracket (A) after loosening the screw.

  18. Separate the pillar trim and then remove the front pillar trim (A) by pushing the mounting clip in the direction of the arrow.

  19. Loosen the mounting bolts (A).

  20. Separate the main crash pad assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.

  21. Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (A).

  22. Disconnect the midrange speaker connector (A).

  23. Remove the crash pad heater & air vent duct connector (A) after loosening the screws.

  24. Remove the passenger airbag (A) after loosening the screws.

  25. Using a remover, remove the midrange speaker grill (A).

  26. Remove the sides midrange speaker (A) after loosening the screws.

  27. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips.
