Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE COVER ")

  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  3. Drain the coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  5. Remove the surge tank.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "SURGE TANK ")

  6. Remove the intake manifold.

    (Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")

  7. Remove the delivery pipe.

    (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "DELIVERY PIPE ")

  8. Remove the water temperature control assembly and water center pipe.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "WATER TEMPERATURE CONTROL ASSEMBLY ")

  9. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (A).

  10. Remove the oil pressure sensor (A).

    Tightening torque  :

    14.7 - 21.6 N.m (1.5 - 2.2 kgf.m, 10.8 - 15.9 lb.ft)

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE: When installing, apply sealant on the thread part.
    Seal lock  : 3M 2510
    Thickness  : More than 0.4 mm (0.0157 in.)
