Circuit Inspection

INSPECTION PART - TPS (THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) INSPECTION

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the component and ECM.
 TPS connector 4 (TPS 1) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinite) Ω
TPS connector 5 (TPS 2) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinite) Ω
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
  2. Ignition "ON".
 TPS connector 1 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. 0V
TPS connector 2 (power) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
TPS connector 3 (ETC +) Chassis ground - Approx. 1.8V
TPS connector 4 (TPS 1) Chassis ground - Approx. 4.8V
TPS connector 5 (TPS 2) Chassis ground - Approx. 0V
TPS connector 6 (ETC -) Chassis ground - Approx. 0.08V
