DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition: Notes

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring that engine "OFF" timer is incriminating
  • Poor Connector Connection
  • Faulty ECM
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • ECT at stop previous driving cycle is over 70°C (158°F) (Warmed up condition met at previous driving cycle)
  • IAT difference is over 0°C (32°F) (IAT at ignition "OFF" previous driving cycle - IAT at ignition "ON")
  • ECT difference is over 40°C (104°F) (ECT at ignition "OFF" previous driving cycle - ECT at ignition "ON")
  • IAT or ECT circuit fault is not present
Case 2
  • ECT at stop previous driving cycle is over 70°C (158°F) (Warmed up condition met at previous driving cycle)
  • IAT difference is over 40°C (104°F) (IAT at ignition "OFF" previous driving cycle - IAT at ignition "ON")
  • ECT difference is over 30°C (86°F) (ECT at ignition "OFF" previous driving cycle - ECT at ignition "ON")
  • IAT or ECT circuit fault is not present
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Engine "OFF" timer is below specified time (Refer to below table 1 )
Case 2
  • Engine "OFF" timer is over specified time (Refer to below table 2 )

  • 2s

  • 2 driving cycles
